You should be aware that any contact with salt water, hard water, or chlorine water may cause discolouration and frizz leading to the damage of your extensions. It cannot be guaranteed, but the best prevention is to soak your hair with watered down conditioner prior to swimming, and wash your hair out with clear water as soon as you have a chance following. Apply a damage repair hair mask, such as the Hair2Love Intensive Damage Repair Mask to ensure as minimal damage as possible.

Are hair extensions damaging for my hair?
When high quality hair is used and applied professionally and correctly, along with good aftercare at home, there shouldn’t be any damage caused to your natural hair, in fact, as long as treated correctly, you can grow your own hair whilst enjoying additional length and volume.
What quantity of hair do I need?
This generally depends on how much length you wish to add, and what density the natural hair already is. If you are looking to become a couple of inches longer or just add additional volume or colour dimension, then 50g-100g of hair is generally enough to create your desired look. However, if you have short, high-density hair and would like to extend your hair below your waistline, you may need 200-300g of hair. On average, most clients that are going from shoulder length to 20-24 inch will use approximately 125-150g of hair to achieve a natural looking full head.
